Terms
Plain-language terms for using CrissCross before the marketplace opens.
Terms of use before the marketplace opens
Who we are
CrissCross is operated by Criss Cross, Inc., PO Box 720848, Norman, Oklahoma 73070. These terms cover crisscross.com, the founding list, and the accounts and private draft shops people create before the marketplace opens. Using any of them means you agree to these terms.
Where things stand
The marketplace is not open yet. Nothing is for sale on CrissCross today, and no shop is public until its community opens and the shop is approved. Joining the founding list is free and does not commit you to anything.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You can close your account and ask us to delete your information at any time by writing to privacy@crisscross.com.
Shops and what they list
A shop you set up stays a private draft until it is approved and its community opens. You are responsible for what you list and for following the laws that apply to it, including your state's and town's rules for food, licensing and sales tax. Being in a category on CrissCross is not permission to sell a product, and CrissCross does not certify sellers or goods.
We may decline, pause or remove a listing or shop that breaks these terms or the law, and we will tell you why.
What you share
You keep ownership of the words, photos and other material you add. You give Criss Cross, Inc. permission to store, display and adapt them (for example, resizing a photo) only to run CrissCross and show your shop. You confirm you have the right to share them.
Buying and selling, once the marketplace opens
A purchase is an agreement between the shopper and the shop. Shops set their own prices, pickup and payment arrangements, and CrissCross is not a party to the sale. During the pilot, shoppers pay the shop directly and CrissCross does not hold anyone's money.
Fair use
Don't use CrissCross to offer anything illegal or unsafe, mislead anyone, impersonate someone, harass people, collect other people's information, or interfere with the site (for example by scraping, probing or overloading it). We may suspend an account that does.
No guarantees during the prelaunch
CrissCross is being built and is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Criss Cross, Inc. is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and its total responsibility to you for anything related to CrissCross before the marketplace opens is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars.
Changes and questions
We will publish full marketplace terms before any community opens, and we will update the date on this page whenever these terms change. If a change matters to people with accounts, we will email them first. These terms are governed by the laws of Oklahoma. Questions: hello@crisscross.com.
CrissCross charges no required platform fees and takes no sales commission. Payment providers may charge their own fees, depending on how you pay or accept payment.
