How it works

The first CrissCross pilot, explained honestly.

The first step

A local Shop, on the seller’s terms.

Today

Raise your hand

Tell us your town, what you make, grow or sell, and how to reach you. That joins the founding list. Shop setup and publication come as the pilot opens.

Coming

Send a request

A neighbor finds something and asks for it. Sending a request does not mean the seller has accepted it.

Coming

Agree on pickup

The seller accepts on their terms, then coordinates a time and place. The shopper pays the seller directly outside CrissCross.

Tools for the working day

Less to piece together.

These tools are built for the pilot and checked on sample Shops. They open with the pilot; they are not available to use here yet.

A useful beginning

Start with your business.

Tell us what you make, grow or sell. Joining expresses interest; it does not publish a Shop.

You choose what's public

A storefront or stand can list its address so neighbors can find it. A home seller can show just a part of town and share the exact pickup spot privately after an order and a time are agreed. During setup, each seller chooses the location and pickup terms they publish.

What's comingComing

Requests and agreed pickup, stand open and closed status with follows and restock notices, market preorders, made-to-order tools, and organizer applications, capacity and fee notes.

What comes laterLater

Seller-reviewed social artwork, and full organizer operations such as stall allocation and recurring schedules.

Money and fees

CrissCross charges no required platform fees, takes no sales commission and shows no ads. Our plan is to support it through optional tips from the people who find it useful. During the pilot, shoppers pay sellers directly outside CrissCross; CrissCross never holds the money. CrissCross charges no required platform fees and takes no sales commission. Payment providers may charge their own fees, depending on how you pay or accept payment.
