How does CrissCross make money?

CrissCross charges no required platform fees, takes no sales commission and shows no ads. Our plan is to support it through optional tips from the people who find it useful. We earn our keep by being worth coming back to.

Can I shop here today?

The public market has not opened yet. We are gathering interest from founding Shops and neighbors.

How will pickup work?

Coming: a shopper sends a request. The seller decides whether to accept and agrees on a pickup time and place. Home sellers can share the exact pickup spot privately after an agreed purchase and time.

Will my address be public?

You choose what's public. A storefront or stand can list its address so neighbors can find it; a home seller can show just a part of town and share the exact spot after an order is agreed.

Who can join as a seller?

Home makers, eligible food producers, farms and ranches, craftspeople, locally owned neighborhood stores, stands and market vendors can express interest. Joining does not decide legal eligibility for any product.

Do you handle payments?

During the pilot, payment is arranged directly between shopper and seller outside CrissCross. CrissCross does not hold funds. CrissCross charges no required platform fees and takes no sales commission. Payment providers may charge their own fees, depending on how you pay or accept payment.

Can I live outside the first community?

Yes. Tell us your town when you join. CrissCross is built to work in any U.S. town.

Do I have to leave Facebook or Instagram?

No. Keep selling and talking with neighbors wherever they already find you. CrissCross is an additional home for your Shop in a shared local market. Later: captions and artwork you review and share yourself. We do not sync with or post to your social accounts.

Can I leave the list?

Yes. Use the removal link in your confirmation email, reply to one of our emails, or contact us about your information.
